We're determined to give every K-8 student in the Wayne Highlands, Western Wayne, Forest City, and Wallenpaupack school districts a book to help them build their home libraries...
and, we need YOUR help!
A good book can open our eyes and show us so much more of the world than what we can see in our day-to-day lives. Stories take us to new places, introduce us to new people, and give us just a little glimpse into someone else’s life. Reading is one of the most important skills we can have, and a love of reading is a special gift.
With just a $20 donation, you can help give 5 students at Wayne Highlands, Forest City, Western Wayne and Wallenpaupack school districts each a book to bring home.
Our Home Library Committee meets to select thoughtful and thought-provoking books for our local students to read and reflect on. The committee is made up of a diverse group of student representatives, publishing and education professionals, and librarians, all united in the belief that literacy is a cornerstone of a happy and healthy community.
We hope you’ll join us by making a donation of $20 or more to the Building Home Libraries Project. A small donation today can have a huge impact on our students’ lives forever.
