In April 2020, The Wayne County Community Foundation, in partnership with with the Wayne County Commissioners, created the Emergency Food Relief Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fund was setup to provide food and an improvised food distribution system to the people in Wayne County who needed it the most. Although the structure and scope has changed tremendously over the years, the spirit of the mission stays the same - food access for everyone in Wayne County who needs it.

Donations to the Farms to Families Fund go to support the efforts of the Wayne County Pantry Program and local farmers to build a robust partnership of food production and distribution - not only in the form of a modernized and efficient food pantry, but also in forming the relationships necessary to respond to the next local emergency.

Donations can be made here on this page or by sending a check to the Wayne County Community Foundation at 214 9th Street, Honesdale, PA with "Farms to Families" in the memo. All donations are tax-deductible.

Monthly donations create stable and predictable operating conditions for food relief work. Consider making a recurring donation - no amount is too small. Together, we can work to ensure that everyone in Wayne County has access to fresh, healthy, locally-produced food.
